Can I leave Australia and still be paid Family Tax Benefit Part B?
If you are entitled to receive Family Tax Benefit Part B for a child and you or the child want to leave Australia on a temporary basis, your payment may be affected.
You may be paid Family Tax Benefit Part B if you or the child leave Australia for 13 weeks or less. If you or the child are absent from Australia for longer than 13 weeks, you will not be entitled to receive any Family Tax Benefit Part B for that child.
You must notify us of any temporary absences before you or the child leave Australia to continue to be paid for this period. If you would like further information, you can contact us.
