What income details do I need to provide to the Family Assistance Office to be assessed for Family Tax Benefit and Child Care Benefit?
To be assessed for fortnightly payments of Family Tax Benefit, and/or reduced fees for Child Care Benefit you will be asked to provide estimates of your and your partner's:
- Taxable Income plus
- Employer Provider Fringe Benefits plus
- Tax free government pensions and benefits plus
- Net rental property loss plus
- Foreign Income minus
- Any child support you or your partner pay.
Because lump sum claims are made after the end of the financial year the Australian Taxation Office can usually provide your taxable income details.
Please Note: Irrespective of whether you choose to be paid Family Tax Benefit and/or Child Care Benefit fortnightly, or as a lump sum payment after the end of the financial year, you will receive the same amount.
